This piece was inspired by the British royal crown, which I chose to take the key aspects of, and subvert them to create a comical, light-hearted piece. Where the Royal crown is made of luxurious fabrics and precious metals and stones, my crown is made of cheap linen, acrylic paint and stuffing. Keeping the structures as similar as I could, the crown is recognisable, whilst still feeling silly and costume-like.
As comfy as can be, this is the crown royals would wear to bed.
